Sat 5th: St. Osmund's Annual Litterpick

Join Alvaston Park Friends and St Osmund's Church for a morning of litter picking, followed by free soup and a roll. Meet at St Osmund's Church Hall, London Road, Wilmorton (near Wickes) GR SK373342 at 9.30am to register. You will join one of two teams, one tackling the Canal Path and one Alvaston Park. Afterwards, at 11.30am, the food will be available back at St Osmund's Church Hall. Local groups, such as Derby Cycling Group. Derby Ramblers and Derby and Sandiacre Canal Society, have been invited to join the litterpick. This will allow individuals and groups to share 'environmental news' with each other afterwards. The litterpick will take place on surfaced paths, and parkland which can be wet and muddy.
