Cycle Derby promote cycling through training, education, events, rides and clubs.

Choose Cycling is a Cycling and Green Travel social enterprise for Derbyshire who create sustainable opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy travelling in healthy and environmentally friendly ways, whether cycling, walking, public transport or car-sharing.

The Spondon Community Assocation is active in improving Spondon, including cycle facilities.

For matters concerning Derbyshire (as opposed to Derby City) or Staffordshire, contact the CTC's Right to Ride representatives.

BikeIT is operating with schools in Derby.

Cycling to Work

There are tax exemptions available to employers operating a Cycle to Work Scheme involving the loan of cycles to employees. If the employee prefers to use their own cycle a tax-free milagee allowance can be paid for business travel. See the Department for Transport guidelines for full details.
