Cycle Derby promote cycling through training, education, events, rides and clubs.

The Spondon Community Assocation is active in improving Spondon, including cycle facilities.

Derby Mercury: Mountain biking, cyclo-cross, time trials and more
Derby CTC: The Derby Section of the national CTC. Regular rides and socials throughout the year.
Gateway Cycling: This is a new community club starting at the Gateway Centre, Grandstand Road, Chadd. It is aimed at young people but all can go.
Derby Triathlon Club: The clue is in the name.
Matlock Cycling Club: An all-round club covering mountain biking, cyclo-cross, road racing, time trials and touring.
UrbanAir: BMX racing based in Nottingham
Derwent Valley All Terrain Club: Off-road cycling including the Notts & Derby Cyclo-cross League
Heanor Clarion CC: Time trials, cyclo-cross

Cycling to Work

There are tax exemptions available to employers operating a Cycle to Work Scheme involving the loan of cycles to employees. If the employee prefers to use their own cycle a tax-free milagee allowance can be paid for business travel. See the Department for Transport guidelines for full details.
